Nightmares

"We are not to show fear, even in death..."

I float aimlessly in this void with that phrase racing through my mind.
This suit as the only thing between life and depressurization.
As my oxygen ticks down and my body drifts toward that doomed planet, I wonder... "why?"
"Is this how my life ends? to come crashing down onto this rock we're glassing?"
"And if I do survive this fall, what then? Will I just get tossed away like garbage?"
"The Prophets have forsaken me. I am but a pawn in they're game."
"A thousand hells for you, Prophets! May you burn like this innocent celestial being we are raving!"
"there is no doubt in my mind now, this is fear..."

Fear... why?
Whilst my flesh begins to burn as I enter the atmosphere, I am left with this last thought...
"I wish for this to just end already... My nightmare..."
